Expression was induced by adding IPTG to a final concentration of 0.5 mM. The culture was incubated at 18 °C for 16 h with shaking at 180 rpm and then centrifuged at 4,000 × g for 15 min at 4 °C (Centrifuge 5810 R, Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany).
